🛑 Error: “Wrong Account” — What It Means and How to Fix It

Updated over 5 months ago

🔍 Why This Happens

When you first set up your ChurchBee extension, we ask you to enter your church’s unique Pushpay/CCB domain. This is usually something like:

CopyEdityourchurch.ccbchurch.com

This domain is how ChurchBee knows which Pushpay/CCB dashboard you're connected to. It helps us optimize features like email templates, direct insertions, and more.

For example:

  • If you signed up using test.ccbchurch.com

  • But you’re currently logged into a different account like test2.ccbchurch.com
➡️ You’ll see the "Wrong Account" error.

⚠️ Why It Matters

ChurchBee connects directly to your Pushpay/CCB account using this domain to:

  • Insert email templates

  • Access data for syncing

  • Enable personalized features

If you’re logged into a mismatched Pushpay/CCB account, some ChurchBee features may not work correctly or at all.

✅ How to Fix It

To resolve this:

  1. Log out of either your ChurchBee or Pushpay/CCB account.

  2. Make sure both accounts are using the same domain (e.g., yourchurch.ccbchurch.com).

  3. Log back in to ChurchBee and Pushpay/CCB using the correct matching accounts.

Once both are aligned, all features should work smoothly again.
