How to Check Your Extension Version (Chrome)

Learn how to quickly check your Chrome extension version and ensure you’re running the latest update, including steps to refresh or reinstall if needed.

When we release updates to the extension, they are automatically rolled out to your browser. In most cases, you’ll receive the latest version without needing to do anything.

However, if you want to confirm your version—or make sure you’re on the latest—follow the steps below.

🔍 How to Check Your Extension Version

Fastest Method (Recommended)

  1. Open Chrome

  2. In the address bar, type:
    chrome://extensions

  3. Press Enter

  4. Find ChurchBee (or your extension name) in the list

  5. Look for the Version number displayed under the extension name

💻 On Mac (Chrome)

The steps are the same:

  1. Open Chrome

  2. Press Command + L (to focus the address bar)

  3. Type: chrome://extensions

  4. Press Enter

  5. Locate the extension and view the Version number

🖥️ On Windows (Chrome)

  1. Open Chrome

  2. Press Ctrl + L

  3. Type: chrome://extensions

  4. Press Enter

  5. Locate the extension and view the Version number

🔄 How to Get the Latest Version

Updates should install automatically, but if you’re not seeing the latest version:

Option 1: Refresh Extensions

  1. Go to chrome://extensions

  2. Turn on Developer Mode (top right)

  3. Click Update

Option 2: Reinstall the Extension (Most Reliable)

  1. Go to chrome://extensions

  2. Find the extension

  3. Click Remove

  4. Reinstall it from the original install link or Chrome Web Store

⏱️ Important Note

After we release updates, it may take a little time for Chrome to automatically update your extension. If something doesn’t look right, checking your version is the fastest way to confirm.
